The explosion of digital photography has made it possible for people around the world to capture and distribute visual material. For anyone interested in human and geographical diversity, this is very exciting. There are probably many sites of this kind around, one of the best ones IMO is pbase. Here are some nice galleries that I've seen there lately.
Amalfi, Italy
Oslo Street Portraits
A Point of View about India
Italy
Faces from Jordan
Here's more pictures from Phil Borges.

Posted by: Jason Malloy at August 4, 2003 09:11 AMDo you know of any collections of portraits from around the world that come with descriptions of the ethnicity of each person? I'm thinking of the 183 pictures at the back of Carleton Coon's "Living Races of Man" from 1965 as a model. Is there anything on line comparable to that?
Posted by: Steve Sailer at August 5, 2003 01:00 PMSome really beautiful pictures.
In Oslos you see two things, first the strong immigration, and secondly the relatvie diversity even among the Norwegians.
Very beautiful Nordic and Sinid people pictured in high quality photos.
It's truly appalling to see the high level of coloured immigrants polluting that once beautiful country (I even saw a Black police officer!). To paraphrase “Nordhammer”, Norway’s heart pumps Nordic blood. You change that blood, you change the nation, it's as simple as that. Only a drooling p.c. moron could imagine Norway would exist unchanged if totally (or even to a significant degree) repopulated by some Third World riff raff fleeing their respective failed polities. A day will come when all these invaders will be sent home. Europes survival depends on it. It's only Europeans who are this bloody stupid; try moving to Japan, for e.g.
Posted by: friedrich braun at August 9, 2003 10:30 PMIts truly appalling how quickly angry white nationalists pollute a once beautiful blog entry.
Posted by: Jason Malloy at August 10, 2003 12:48 AMJason, obviously people wince when they read one or two of the racial comments posted in this thread. We all do, and we all understand your comment perfectly, and are in full sympathy with it.
Now, about the other side -- which, I fully agree, ought to have expressed itself more delicately -- do they have a point or have they no point whatsoever?
If what got expressed here is appalling -- and we all see exactly what you mean, trust me, but let's try to go beyond that just a little, for the sake of argument -- if what got said was appalling, then can one ask at what level of incompatible immigration the sort of concern so clumsily expressed above would cease to be appalling and start amounting to a valid issue, an issue regarding NOT "superior" and "inferior" races but simply the disappearance of a race (due to the extension of another race) whose members might not want it to disappear, for whatever reason? I mean, maybe they just like blond hair? Whatever their reason is for not wanting their race to disappear, that reason is their business and it's neither the business nor the moral right of anyone to come tell them that, no, that reason isn't valid and their race is going to be immigrationed out of existence against their will by holier-than-thou élites.
I mean, do races have a right to continue to exist? Or is that very idea always appallling? And if the answer is that it's always appalling, then the obvious rejoinder is, why can't we turn the tables, then, and erase, say, all Bantus by replacing them with Norwegians?
Would that be perfectly OK? If not, why is the analagous thing OK if it happens to Norwegians?
I'm not smart Jason, as you well know -- if I were I'd never have misjudged GC the way I did. But SURELY this stuff can be explained even to a moron like me.
The holier-than-thou game is extremely easy to play. Now, let's instead get down the what real grown-ups do, namely addressing and answering the hard questions.

I have to agree. Some people just have one-track minds.
Posted by: Dienekes at August 10, 2003 07:07 PMSo how about Steve's question, Dienekes? I know of a lot of individual artists and galleries and such, but I don't know of any comprehensive physical anthropology collections. I think I've Googled looking for similar things in the past w/o much luck.
Posted by: Jason Malloy at August 10, 2003 11:10 PMIf you’ve read Faye’s “La Colonisation de l’Europe” (posted on your blog not long ago; the author predicts/advocates an immanent armed struggle in France -- and by extension Europe -- against the the Third World, often Muslim, invader. I personally know Frenchmen who are arming themselves for that decisive moment) or Brimelow’s “Alien Nation”, you must be aware of the mortal threat posed by unchecked, savage immigration into Western countries -- it's a ticking time bomb just waiting to explode! The whole raison d’etre of Vdare.com (and thousand of similar fora in the West – do all these people have “one-track minds”?) is to discuss issues linked to the dangers of immigration. Mass-immigration and the multifaceted problems associated with it IS the most pressing, the most urgent, the deadliest problem facing Whites. Mass-immigration coupled with low demographics spells the death of the West as we know it. Already 1 in 4 inhabitants of Sweden is not Swedish (Nordic), France has 6 million Muslims (have you been to Paris recently? It’s no longer a French city -- mosques and Arabs everywhere), Germany will soon have 10 million Turks (I grew up in Berlin and Paris, and I hate to see what is happening to these once great cities, former beacons of Western civilization -- you cannot move an inch in Berlin without bumping into some hideous Turk!). Are you enjoying the re-conquest (and the accompanying murder and displacement of Whites) of the American South West?

I know of nothing like that which can be found all in one place/site. One could easily make up something like that via the Internet, although it'd be difficult to ascertain that certain individuals are typical examples of their groups unless one has anthropological/travel experience.

I edited the post to remove the article text. The link suffices.
Posted by: Dienekes at August 11, 2003 10:23 PMD: If you have read the article in question, I would be very interested to know if you think that the author (Mr. Voridis) has a valid argument to present to his fellow Greeks.
Posted by: Friedrich Braun at August 12, 2003 12:10 AMYour pictures on Oslo make depressing viewing. I clicked on the link to see beautiful Scandanavian women and I did see some. Most worrying however is that there were more non-europeans than than europeans there. Also most of the young kids were of non-european I sincerely hope your photos don't reflect the ethnic make up of Oslo.
Posted by: europhile at August 23, 2003 04:00 AMIt seems dankeys you have censored me once more. I am starting to wonder? are you trying present only a one sided view. Like Arthur Kemp?
