Non-Caucasoid Y Chromosomes in White Americans

According to [1] and see also this for haplogroup tabulation, in a sample of 202 whites, the following non-Caucasoid Y chromosomes were found:

2 N3 (Uralic)
2 O* (Mongoloid)
3 Q3* (Amerindian)

for a total of 3.5% non-Caucasoid paternal admixture.

Finns, who are of course much whiter than modern Greeks, are predominantly N3.

O* is found throughout Europe at trace frequencies. Considering the likely great age of haplogroup O, I don't consider O* necessarily "Mongoloid". O3 indicates Mongoloid ancestry. O*, with our current knowledge, does not.

Q3 is the only actual non-Caucasoid haplogroup present in the "Caucasian" sample. Note, this is study does not include a "white American" category, and in titling his "blog" entry as he did, pontikos' typical "greek" dishonesty is showing through.

Most people living in America who identify themselves as "Caucasian" are still "white Americans" as the term is commonly understood, but a large minority are not. The samples in this study came from California and Hawaii, states which are majority non-white. About a third of people living in California are hispanic. Some of these hispanics call themselves "Caucasian". These facts would cross the mind of a thinking person.

>> Finns, who are of course much whiter than modern Greeks, are predominantly N3.

Finns like other Finno-Ugric speakers share in the Proto-Uralic skeletal pattern.

>> O* is found throughout Europe at trace frequencies.

Please post the relevant evidence.

>> O3 indicates Mongoloid ancestry.

All clades of O are present in Mongoloid populations.

Well, it includes "whites" who are from the USA, ergo "white Americans".

>> Most people living in America who identify themselves as "Caucasian" are still "white Americans" as the term is commonly understood, but a large minority are not.

There is no mention of any "Caucasians" in the scientific study, only of "whites".
